Project Update 11/4/2024

  • Removals, Concrete work, and Underground Signal work have been completed. Some site restoration Concrete has been poured for the ramps, sidewalk, fillets, and the traffic signal bases and controller cabinet foundation.
  • Signal Equipment has started to arrive and will be assembled and installed over the next couple weeks. Expected final completion is November 22, 2024.

Commuter Route Information

  • Intermittent lane closures are to be expected while installing overhead signal equipment.

Project Summary

The City of Sioux Falls will be continuing construction of the 15th Street Bicycle Boulevard. This portion of the Bicycle Boulevard includes signals on Prairie Avenue at 10th Street and also at 11th Street.

This project will consist of removal and installation of curb ramps and concrete fillets, removal and installation of pavement markings, expansion of pedestrian bump outs, and installation of new traffic signals.

Engineer’s Estimate: $1,012,139.10
