The City’s Historic Preservation Loan Program offers a zero-interest loan to homeowners who live in residential historic districts or have an individually listed property on the National Register of Historic Places. The goal of the loan program is to help homeowners restore historic properties.
The loan can be used for exterior work, like windows, doors, roofing, gutters, stucco, masonry, siding, trim, stairs, railing, porch/deck, painting, handicap accessibility, and/or other items that may be deemed necessary for site or structural improvements. Interior work is not allowed.
Only single-family, owner-occupied applicants qualify for the program. Homeowners can verify their property is located within a district or individually listed here:

Applications are reviewed and awarded once per year by the City’s Board of Historic Preservation. Approved applicants can receive up to $25,000.
