Temporary Closure – Veterans Parkway Recreation Trail

Beginning on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, the recreation trail along the east side of Veterans Parkway will be closed between 57th Street and 26th Street to facilitate installation of air release valves for the new sanitary sewer force main.

This work will be limited to the back of curb to the trail with no more than one mile of trail closed at any given time. 

The Veterans Parkway Trail is anticipated to be reopened within a couple of weeks. 

Trail users are urged to avoid this area completely while under construction.

Lane Closure – Kiwanis Avenue

Beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, February 27, 2025, the eastbound lane on West 33rd Street will be closed between Phillps Avenue and Fourth Avenue. There will be a flagger in place and traffic will be detoured to 41st Street.

Xcel Energy will be working on a pole just east of 33rd Street and Phillips Avenue.

This work is anticipated to be completed by 4:00 p.m. on the same day.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.
