Street Construction Updates & Closures

Street Closure – Sixth Street

Beginning on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, intermittent closures will take place on East Sixth Street between Cliff Avenue and Interstate 229 to allow crews to perform pavement patching work.

This work is anticipated to be completed in approximately one to two weeks. 

Motorists are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Lane Closures - Cliff Avenue and 20th Street

Beginning on Monday, November 11, 2024, the outside southbound lane on South Cliff Avenue will be closed at 20th Street.

Beginning on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, the north side of East 20th Street will be closed at Cliff Avenue, and westbound traffic will be diverted to the center turn lane.

Telcom Construction will be working in the area.

This work is anticipated to be completed by Friday, November 15, 2024.

Street Closure – Madison Street

Beginning on Monday, November 18, 2024, West Madison Street will be closed between La Mesa Drive and Ellis Road to allow construction crews to install sanitary sewer lines.

This work is anticipated to be completed in the spring of 2025.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and to use signed detour routes.
