Riverline Steering Committee Members Announced

Mayor Paul TenHaken, City Council Chair Curt Soehl, and City Council Vice Chair Rich Merkouris announce the members of the Riverline Steering Committee that will include:

Rick Kiley
Rhonda Lockwood
Rich Merkouris
Cynthia Mickelson
Bob Mundt
Tony Nour
Jesse Schmidt

The steering committee was established by resolution on September 10, 2024, by the City Council. There will be a public meeting of the steering committee scheduled each month. Additional information, including meeting dates and times, will be announced within the next week.

Earlier this year, the City of Sioux Falls and Friends of the Riverline District unveiled a plan to build a new convention center and full-service hotel on property commonly referred to as the Riverline District. More than seven acres of the proposed Riverline District is currently occupied by the South Dakota Department of Labor, which will be moving to the new South Dakota One Stop office building at Dawley Farm.
