Arrowhead Park House Improvements

Beginning on Wednesday, July 10, 2024, renovation will begin on the Arrowhead Park House in the southwest portion of Arrowhead Park. Construction work will involve both the interior and exterior of the existing residence.

This renovation coincides with ongoing trail improvements. The northern parking lot off East 26th Street remains closed, while the southern portions of the park are accessible from the southern parking lot. Visitors are urged to use caution and avoid areas of the park under construction. The project is expected to be substantially complete by late fall 2024.

Street Closure – 10th Street

Beginning on Friday, July 12, 2024, West 10th Street will be closed from Euclid Avenue to Menlo Avenue to allow crews to continue with the second phase of the 10th Street/Pettigrew Neighborhood Street and Utility Project.

The first phase of the project on 10th Street between West Avenue and Euclid Avenue remains closed. Traffic should utilize Ninth Street, 11th Street, or 12th Street as an alternate route.

The 10th Street/Pettigrew Neighborhood Street and Utility Project will reconstruct West 10th Street from West Avenue to Menlo Avenue, Covell Avenue from 10th Street to 11th Street, and Menlo Avenue from Ninth Street to 10th Street. Work on this project includes underground utility improvements, concrete curb and gutter, asphalt paving, driveway approach replacement, accessible curb ramp upgrades, and new street lighting.

The first phase of the project is expected to be complete in mid-August, while the second phase is expected to be complete in October.  The overall project is expected to be complete in November.

Drivers are urged to use caution and reduced speeds while traveling near the construction area and may want to consider alternate routes.

Additional information about this project is also available on the City’s website.
