Big Sioux Stewardship Summit
The City of Sioux Falls is partnering with South Dakota State University to host the Big Sioux Stewardship Summit. This 2-day event is a reimagining and expansion of the annual Big Sioux River and Sustainability Summit the City hosted previously. More details about speakers and bus tour locations will be announced at a later date.

Day 1: Bus Tours
Attendees will meet at the Sioux Falls Stadium parking lot (1001 NW Avenue Service Rd) 15 minutes before each tour.
Wednesday, April 16
Two bus tours will feature local experts highlighting stewardships efforts led by local government and businesses between our local urban and rural environments. Each tour is limited to 40 people, and registration for the bus tours is required. Both tours will run twice: 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. Deadline for registration is Wednesday, April 2.

Locations include area agriculture producers and operations that have dedicated themselves to minimizing their environmental impact:

Day 2: Big Sioux Stewardship Summit
Thursday, April 17

The summit will bring together speakers and stakeholders in the community working on environmental initiatives in the region. Presentations and workshops will be focused on 3 areas: water resources, regenerative agriculture, and urban stewardship. Attendees can network at the summit’s vendor booths. Lunch will be provided.
