The mission of the City of Sioux Falls Information Technology Division is to manage and protect a reliable and redundant technology network for all City departments.

Recent projects include:

  • Maintaining free wireless internet access on Sioux Area Metro buses and inside Siouxland Libraries branch locations.
  • Supporting important public safety infrastructure for Metro Communications, Sioux Falls Fire Rescue, and Sioux Falls Police.
  • Managing software systems for physical infrastructures such as municipal water systems, street maintenance, and property inspections.
