Language Access at the City
The City is committed to providing equal access to its programs, services, and activities for all individuals, including those with limited English proficiency (LEP). To ensure this, the Human Relations Office serves as the Language Access Coordinator.
Grievance Procedure
If you believe you have been denied language assistance or experienced discrimination due to your limited English proficiency, you may file a complaint with the Human Relations Manager. Complaints can be made verbally or in writing and should include your name, address, contact information, and a brief description of the incident. The City will provide assistance to those who cannot complete a written form.
The complaint should be submitted to the City as soon as possible but no later than 180 calendar days after the alleged discrimination occurred. All complaints should be submitted to:

Investigation Process
The Human Relations Manager will investigate each complaint within 30 days, unless extenuating circumstances arise. The Manager may attempt to resolve the issue informally. Once the investigation is complete, you will be notified of the findings and any corrective actions to be taken.
