About City Council Meetings
City Council meetings are an essential part of your city government. At these meetings, City Council members consider the merits of each proposal that may include zoning, budget items, or local laws. These public meetings foster transparency and engagement by providing residents an opportunity to share their perspective, provide input, and shape the direction of our community.
Informational Meetings: Join us on the first four Tuesdays of each month at 4 p.m. Discover the latest updates on City initiatives as the Council gathers for informative sessions.
City Council Meetings: Be a part of official actions taken by the City Council. Meetings are held on the first three Tuesdays of each month at 6 p.m.
Joint City/County Council Meetings: Witness collaboration in action on the fourth Tuesday of each month as Sioux Falls City convenes together with Minnehaha County at 5 p.m., and with Lincoln County at 7 p.m.
Committee Meetings: Be informed about specific issues addressed by different Council Committees.
NOTE: Council meetings are occasionally rescheduled on an-as needed basis for a different day and time.
