Elmwood Golf Course Clubhouse and Cart Storage Expansion

This project will replace the existing Elmwood Golf Course clubhouse with a new, state-of-the-art 10,000 square foot facility to accommodate the heavy traffic the popular 27-hole course sees on a regular basis. The clubhouse will have a bar/lounge area to host regular users after their round, as well as a banquet area large enough to host a 27-hole event. The kitchen is equipped to offer expanded food and beverage options. Additionally, a new cart storage building will be constructed to house the golf cart fleet and a new building for the First Tee program. The South Dakota Golf Hall of Fame will also be relocated to the clubhouse.

Construction Update:

Construction is anticipated to begin late summer and will continue until December 2025. The existing clubhouse will remain open during construction.

Project Update:

The contractor has begun excavation activities onsite. The building footprint is located on a former landfill site, so the garbage will be removed and replaced with suitable soil to support the building. This work will take place in the coming weeks, followed by construction of the footings and foundations.
